Pear and Ginger Juice

This is a very cleansing and refreshing drink, perfect when pears are in season. Pears are rich in fibre and vitamin C and are very good for cleansing our systems. For variety you can add half a sweet apple to the juicer, it will give a fuller, yet sweeter taste.

This recipe is:
- Egg free
- Gluten free
- Lactose (dairy) free
- Nut free
- Vegan
Pear and Ginger Juice
Serves 2 people
Ingredients
- A fearly small piece fresh ginger (equal to two grapes in size)
- 2 pears, ripe
- 1 teaspoon agave nectar (optional)
Preparation
- Cut the 2 pears coarsely so that they fit in the juicer's chute.
- Place the pears and the ginger in the juicer.
- Pour the liquid into a container.
- Add a teaspoon agave nectar if preferred and stir.
- Serve immediately with a couple of ice cubes if preferred.
Tips
- You can use maple syrup or acacia honey instead of the agave nectar.
- You can use an apple and a pear instead of using 2 pears.
