Porridge
13. May, 2009
I don't understand people that can go to work or school on an empty stomach. It is like driving your car without fuel...now you wouldn't do that would you? Porridge is a wonderful start to the day, the perfect body fuel. It has slow releasing carbohydrates, protein and it really fills you up, keeping you energised for very long. I often take the dry ingredients for porridge on my hikes and it is absolutely fantastic to start your hike on something so healthy.
I normally add something sweet to my porridge like chopped, dried or fresh fruit such as blueberries, apples, banana, dried apricots, dates and even nuts such as chopped hazelnuts.

The healthiest start to your busy day
