Christmas

Mild and nice little nut loafs

Tomato Mini Nut Loafs

These are lovely little loafs/patties which are perfect on your Christmas table if you are a vegetarian. They also look quite festive if you team them with a nice, green salad.

Amazingly healthy cookies and raw as well

Walnut and Raisin Cookies / Treats

Walnuts are amazingly healthy and are sometimes called the "heart's seat belt" because of their heart protective qualities. They are also good for our brain.

One very healthy mousse!

Vanilla Mousse

When I was a kid I never used to like the mousse you could buy in the shops.

Cinnamon Cookies, the perfect Christmas cookies!

Cinnamon Cookies

These are my favourite cinnamon cookies. There is absolutely nothing that announces the arrival of Christmas more clearly than the aroma of these baking in the oven.

Heavenly Christmas cookies!

Maple Syrup and Vanilla Cookies

These are absolutely perfect for Christmas, especially if you cut them into fun shapes such as stars, snowflakes, snowmen or whatever reminds you of the festive season.

A lovely lobster bisque

Lobster Soup (Bisque)

I am not particularly fond of lobster or shrimp although I might eat it a couple of times a year. My husband however loves both.

A perfect side dish with every meal and an excellent snack as well!

Grilled Sweet Potato Wedges

This must be the shortest recipe on this website. The ingredient's list has one ingredient only...sweet potatoes!

This is such a healthy jam and I absolutely love it

Spicy Blueberry Jam

This is more of a thick sauce than a jam as I don't use gelatin or other thickening agents. You can make it thicker by using pectin.

This sauce is on the richer side so use sparingly

Peanut Sauce from Uganda

I remember tasting a very similar sauce in Uganda one time. It was served with potatoes and barbecued goat and beef.

A very simple yet delicious jam for every occasion

Date Jam

I use this jam for everything...as a layer when making cakes, on my toast, with hummus, on oatmeal biscuits, in my yoghurt and on waffles. It just goes with everything and is so easy to make.
