Biscuits / Biscottis
Is there anything more perfect for dipping in coffees than biscottis? I don't think so. I love biscottis because they keep well, are not too sweet, are biscuity and very, very light. My biscottis don't have any added fat (apart from one yolk most of them) and despite that are such a nice way to please your dinner guests.
Australian ANZAC Biscuits
I have read several stories about the origin of the ANZAC Biscuits (never to be called cookies) and some myths are prevalent.
Biscotti with Almonds
This biscotti recipe contains raw cane sugar and spelt flour and virtually no fat.
Biscotti with Macadamia Nuts and Cranberries
'Nice' is the first word that popped into my head when tasting these for the first time. I had in my mind to try a festive combination of orange, macadamia and cranberries and it went really well.
Biscotti with Pistachio Nuts
There is something lovely about pistachios in biscottis.
Biscotti with Pistachio Nuts and Orange Zest
The orange aroma that fills the kitchen when making these is wonderful. I sometimes make these biscottis just to fill the kitchen with that lovely orange scent.
Chocolate Biscottis with Almonds and Cherries
These are little slices of heaven.
Chocolate Rice Cakes
I often make these because they are perfect as a treat in my lunch box. They provide me with energy but are not filled with sugar since the only sugar is from the raw cane sugar of the chocolate.
Oatmeal Biscuits
I love oatmeal biscuits, unfortunately they are not available in Iceland (at least not my favourite kind which is Nairns).
